We listen first
A 60 to 90 minute first session with the time to be properly heard: history, medications, sleep, digestion, energy, mood, and cycle. Pulse and tongue diagnosis follow, and you leave with a TCM working diagnosis you understand.
If your period pain has been brushed off as 'normal', it may not be. Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 UK women of reproductive age (NICE NG73), and diagnosis often takes years. We work alongside your gynaecology team, bringing acupuncture, anti-inflammatory nutrition, and herbal medicine together to help ease pain, steady your cycle, and support your fertility plans.
Overview
Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the womb (the endometrium) grows in other places, most often the pelvic cavity, the ovaries, and the surfaces of the bowel. It causes painful periods, pelvic pain between periods, pain during intercourse, and it is a leading cause of subfertility.
NICE guideline NG73 recommends multidisciplinary care: hormonal management, surgery where it is indicated, and pain management. Integrative care sits alongside that, never in place of it, working on two fronts:
We always work alongside your gynaecology team, and integrative care never replaces the workup or the surgery your specialist recommends. Many women see us within wider fertility care, often through fertility acupuncture or the 12 Weeks Fertility Reset Protocol.

Claudia provides the best lymphatic drainage massage in London. She can scan your body like no one else. I almost fell asleep during my 90-minute session — the time flew by. Thank you Claudia!
Claudia is a true healer! I arrived very tense after a long flight and she was able to help calm and reset my nervous system. I highly recommend the 1-hour lymphatic massage.
I had a great lymphatic drainage session with Claudia. After having sinus surgery to remove polyps and dealing with congestion, I felt so much better after the session. Highly recommend!
Claudia is wonderful. Her treatments are incredibly relaxing. She is attentive and asks questions ahead of time to be more targeted during the sessions. Her treatment rooms promote a sense of calm. I would highly recommend her!
Acupuncture appears to work on pain through the body's own opioid pathways and by easing pelvic muscle tension. The evidence is mixed and the studies are small, and we are honest about that. We usually suggest 8 to 12 weeks of regular treatment: enough time to know whether it is genuinely helping you.
Anti-inflammatory eating patterns may help ease pain in endometriosis, though the evidence is still emerging. We tailor the nutrition to your symptom pattern, your cycle, and any other diagnoses such as IBS or thyroid conditions: a plan you can actually live with, never a blanket elimination diet.
Sessions are timed to your cycle phase to address premenstrual flares and the pattern of pain across the month. Herbal medicine supports the same work between visits, adjusted as your cycle responds. The aim is a cycle you can plan your life around.
For women with endometriosis trying to conceive, we look after the day-to-day groundwork alongside your gynaecology care: anti-inflammatory nutrition, cycle-phase acupuncture, and herbal medicine in parallel. A full fertility workup clarifies what endometriosis is actually contributing, and we help you ask for the right one.
Manual lymphatic drainage helps with the abdominal swelling and post-laparoscopy oedema many women experience after excision surgery. Combined with acupuncture, it supports the post-operative window so you get the most from the surgery you chose. We start only once your surgical team has cleared it.
Excision surgery and hormonal management remain the medical gold standard, and integrative care never replaces them. We work alongside your gynaecologist, share treatment notes with your consent, and will recommend a specialist consultation whenever your presentation suggests one is needed.
Why it happens
Retrograde menstruation: endometrial cells reach the pelvic cavity through the fallopian tubes
Genetic predisposition: endometriosis runs in families
Immune-system irregularities that allow misplaced tissue to grow rather than be cleared
Hormonal: oestrogen drives growth of endometrial deposits
Chronic inflammation as a self-reinforcing local environment
Surgical scars: caesarean or other pelvic surgery can transfer cells (rare)
Your history, your cycle, your energy, and what matters to you. The first session runs 60 to 90 minutes depending on the service: medical history, current medications, sleep, digestion, energy, mood, and your menstrual cycle where relevant. Pulse and tongue diagnosis follow, and from this we arrive at a TCM working diagnosis you understand.
You leave with a written summary of what was done, why, and the plan for your next session.

Every plan starts with being properly heard. We find what is driving your picture, treat it with the right combination of pillars, and evolve the plan with you as your body responds.

Acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, manual lymphatic drainage, herbal formula: chosen for your TCM diagnosis, not by default. Sessions run 60 to 75 minutes, and you leave each one with a written summary of what was done and why.
Pulse, tongue, and current symptoms are reassessed at every visit, and the toolkit and herbal formula adjust as the picture shifts. Plans are agreed in 6-week or 12-week blocks, so you always know where you are in the arc.
As things settle, treatment moves to a maintenance frequency: keeping your cycle, energy, and recovery steady. Where you have a GP, fertility clinic, or surgeon involved, we coordinate with them throughout.

Excision surgery remains the gold-standard for symptomatic endometriosis when imaging or laparoscopy confirms disease. Integrative care is supportive: for pain control, cycle regulation, fertility preparation, and post-surgical recovery. We work alongside your gynaecology team and we will recommend a specialist consultation if your presentation suggests one is needed.
Acupuncture appears to influence pain through endogenous opioid pathways, reduce pelvic muscle tension, and support cycle regulation. The research evidence is mixed: some reviews report pain reduction after 8 to 12 weeks of regular treatment, but the underlying studies are small and the picture is contested. We typically pair sessions with nutritional and herbal support targeting the inflammatory drivers.
Anti-inflammatory eating patterns, such as Mediterranean-style or low-FODMAP where the gut is involved, may help with pain for some women, though the evidence is still limited. We tailor nutritional recommendations to your symptom pattern, your cycle, and any other diagnoses such as IBS, hypothyroidism, or PMOS, rather than handing you a one-size-fits-all elimination diet.
Endometriosis is associated with subfertility but does not always cause it. About 30 to 50% of women with endometriosis experience subfertility. A full fertility workup (semen analysis, ovarian reserve, tubal patency) clarifies whether endometriosis is the operative factor, alongside other potential causes.
